Fall Golfing Tips

Don’t slow down your game for the rain! Just because the weather is getting colder and the leaves are starting to change doesn’t mean you have to put your clubs away just yet. Here are some tips from Fuzzy’s Vodka to get you prepared to take your golf game into the fall.

Waterproof Gear

If it’s raining, make sure you’re not soaking wet by the 9th hole. Invest in waterproof clothing, hats and gloves to keep you dry and on top of your game. And don’t forget an umbrella for added protection from the elements.

Towels

Keep them in a waterproof bag so they stay dry until you need them. Dry towels will come in handy when you need to wipe down misty clubs or get the water off your gloves. They’ll also be helpful if your ball gets wet from the rain or just a bad swing!

Sunscreen

Just because the sun is hidden behind the clouds doesn’t mean its harmful rays can’t still get to you. A round of golf can mean hours under the sun – and it doesn’t have to be direct sunlight for you to get burned. Don’t forget your sunscreen even when the green is overcast.

First-Aid Kit

While this one is always a good idea to have on hand, the rain and fog can add more potential for injury to your rounds. You may not think you’ll slip on the wet green or pavement, but you’ll be happy you brought your first-aid kit along if you do.

Water

When the weather is cold, it’s easy to forget to keep yourself hydrated since you won’t be drinking water to cool down. But you’re still doing a physical activity that requires you to stay hydrated, so drink up! Remind yourself to take a few swigs between every hole.

And of course, enjoy a smooth drink of Fuzzy’s Vodka after your game, any time of year!
